What is Worn?

WORN is a Hudson Valley, New York company that makes merino wool socks and performance apparel built to outlast what you're wearing now. Our socks are made from Arrowool™, a yarn that uses Worn's patented technology (US Patent No. 11,639,564). Our shirts, base layers, underwear and midlayers are made from Cloudbase™. Founded in 2020 by Bryan Marville, WORN backs every product with a satisfaction replacement and a 1-year warranty.

Why we started

We started WORN because we were sick of buying socks. Not socks in general, we love socks, but the kind that go soft after six washes, lose their shape, and end up balled up in the back of a drawer, or worse, in a landfill. We also wanted something softer than the scratchy, thick wool socks on the market.

Bryan couldn't find gear that held up to what he actually did, so he built his own. He tested it himself on elk hunts that started with a two-day hike in, offshore sails, surf trips and long days of outdoor work. If it didn't survive that, it didn't ship.

What makes WORN different

Patented sock yarn. Arrowool™ twists organic merino and a technical fiber together instead of blending them. It's ultra-soft, itch-free, stays dry through a full day and comes back into shape every wash. We call that Wash-Fit™. See how it works →
Apparel built the same way. Our apparel is made from Cloudbase™, Worn’s merino wool performance fabric, used across our shirts, base layers, underwear, and midlayers. It pairs superfine merino with nylon and/or spandex for strength and stretch, so it’s soft as cotton with no itch, dries fast, resists odor, and holds its shape wash after wash.
